National Minimum Standards Training - November 2006 - June 2007

I feel today's training was well presented and informative. Seating was well planned. Made to feel relaxed - good to introduce another person rather than standing up to speak and introduce yourself. Discussion relaxed and interesting. Nice lunch and good venue.

This day was extremely valuable. It has exceeded my expectations of the day. It has made me feel more comfortable about CSIW inspections and what I need to be doing for others and myself. Great, would recommend this day to others.

" I have found the day to be very informative. It has given me a clear knowledge of the underlying issues relating to the standards. I have become more interested in taking my knowledge further and looking at the standards in more depth. It has been a relaxed, friendly day and I would attend another course held by the trainers.

Have achieved a better understanding of the standards especially complaints and supervision. A better way of working to familiarise yourself with the standards rather than reading them, more enjoyable and easier to remember.

Good aspects of the training:

  • Constructive discussion on policies in relation to work
  • Seating arrangements
  • Explanation on what the standards say
  • Risk assessment
  • Lone working policy

Enjoyed the informal atmosphere and the opportunity to take part in the discussion. Also found it useful to be able to talk about personal scenarios and these into the standards.

I feel I have gained more understanding of the care standards.

  • Seating arrangements a good idea
  • Discussion and interaction within group really good
  • Advice where needed
  • Listening to other people's experiences
  • Relaxed
  • Finding out about different policies

Interesting but we needed more time for chatting - perhaps two days

I have enjoyed this course today, everything has been explained clearly and simply. It was a very warm atmosphere in the room.

Very informative and thought provoking. Can use information given straight away to improve the service to clients.

Enjoyed group discussions. Relaxed atmosphere, very enjoyable. Lots of information to think about.

I felt that I gained much more of an understanding of the care standards. I feel that I can return to work with much more knowledge. I liked introducing someone else rather than myself at the beginning as I find it less daunting. Could have done with water, I got slightly dehydrated. Good break times, good length of time for the course. I did find it interesting and felt comfortable with everyone. Very friendly. Good dinner.
